Director of Tennis
I moved to the Springfield Lakes area 9 years ago from the UK. I have been coaching tennis for over 30 years. I have been fortunate to have worked from beginners all the way to top 40 in the world on WTA tour. Before taking over the Aspire tennis company I was running the junior and performance coaching at the Queensland Tennis Centre.
I left there in 2015, to set up my own coaching company to help junior players progress into performance players and play completive tennis. Tennis has taken me all over the world playing and coaching and given me a great life. I want to give that opportunity to every player that wants it.
Tennis, Golf, being with my family.
Head Professional – Brookwater
I have recently moved to Brisbane to follow my passion for Tennis. This has led me to Baseline Tennis Coaching where I feel I have landed on two feet. My passion for tennis began when I was eight years old back in the United Kingdom with my old coach inspiring me to continue playing. Now, 18 years down the track I could never look back on my career choice. Getting to wake up everyday knowing that I get to teach others the joys of tennis is a dream come true. My coaching pathway has seen me on the court teaching for the past seven years for various groups of players including; children starting as little as three, adult sessions, cardio tennis, private sessions, ladies coffee mornings and everything else you can do on a tennis court.
My active imagination followed by my keen eye to help those on court allows me to provide an enjoyable experience during coaching sessions. With my eagerness to learn I intend on completing all of the courses on offer at the Queensland Tennis Centre. Feel free to say hello if you see me as my friendly nature will get you hitting tennis balls on court in no time!
Bio coming soon…
Having played tennis from an early age I found I had a talent and drive compete. I have played all over Australia and having settled in the Springfield Lakes area began coaching with Aspire tennis some 5 years ago. When Baseline Tennis coaching took over, I was asked if I wanted to remain and keep working. I have had the chance to work with David the Director of Tennis and have learnt a lot from the experience which I am now putting into practice in my coaching week.
I love working with the little ones and seeing them grow in with their newly learnt tennis skills. I am also getting the opportunity to work with the high performance players helping them get ready for their up coming tournaments.
Baseline Tennis Coaching and its director David Gore were introduced to us by a friend last year. We were looking for a coach who could help our 13 year old daughter to progress to the next level of tennis. David is a great coach with a lot of passion for the game, huge amount of experience, great deal of technical knowledge and he knows how to communicate to players to ensure the message gets through. We have found David extremely professional and great to work with. If you are looking for a coach who can identify the technical issues in your child’s game and you want your child to progress to the next level of tennis, I would not hesitate to recommend David and Baseline Tennis.
